Porto Social Forum 2023

Porto Social Forum consists of a strategic debate on social rights on May 26th and 27th. The European Year of Skills and the European Social Model are the two main themes of this 1st edition of the Porto Social Forum.

This event will bring together Heads of State and Government, Ministers responsible for social affairs from the Member States of the European Union, leaders of European institutions, European Social Partners, and civil society at the Super Bock Arena in Porto. Porto Social Forum aims to strengthen the Social Commitment of Porto between the Presidency of the Council of the EU, the European Commission, the European Parliament, and social partners, in a joint effort to consolidate the commitment already made to the European Pillar of Social Rights, creating synergies for a more inclusive, fair, and social Future of Europe.

It serves as a space for reaffirming the values of the Social Europe.

Event Objectives:

  • Raise awareness of European policies regarding the European Pillar of Social Rights;
  • Strengthen dialogue between partners and European institutions;
  • Deepen the debate on the social dimension in the future of Europe;
  • Discuss the social situation of the EU by identifying risks, challenges, and priorities.

 

The objective of this event is to hold biennial meetings that reproduce the spirit of convergence and debate achieved.
